Over-size book of the art of Stasys Krasauskas, a Lithuanian graphic artist of the Soviet era. Presents 229 of his illustrations. Includes an essay (about 15 pages) by the Lithuanian art historian Ingrida Korsakaite and a list of dates from the artist's biography and exhibitions.
Stasys Krasauskas (1929-1977) graduated of the Lithuanian SSR Institute of Art in 1958 and joined its faculty in 1961. He illustrated several books, exhibited his work in many one-man shows in Lithuania, Russia, and other eastern European countries, and received many prestigious awards for his work. In 1977, he was awarded the title of the People's Artist of the Lithuanian SSR.
