Bud Clark served as Portland's mayor from 1985 to 1992. After attending Lincoln High School, Vanport College, OSU, and then dropping out of Reed College, he opened the Goose Hollow Inn in 1967.

At the foot of the poster, in small print, it reads, ''Portions of the proceeds from the sale of this poster are directed toward the national acceptance of re-cyclable containers.''
