August Uihlein ''Augie'' Pabst, Jr, is the great-grandson of Pabst Brewing founder Frederick Pabst. He joined the family business in 1966, following a highly successful motor racing career, and served the company in a variety of capacities, including as vice-president, before his retirement in 1983.
Thomas N. McGowen had been on Pabst's board of directors since 1973 and was chairman from 1981 to about 1985. He also served as interim president and CEO between July and September 1981.
