The four William Morris poems set to music by the English composer Julius Harrison (1885-1963) are: Sir Giles' War Song, Guendolen, The Eve of Crecy, and The Gilliflower of Gold. William Morris (1834-1896) was one of the leading figures in the British Arts & Crafts Movement.
Front cover has the written name of A. B. [Arthur Bevan] Perrow (1901-1979), a Welsh-born vocalist who lived in London with his American wife. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music (1938) and appears to have taught at the London College of Music (1948). His wife, Elsa, was the daughter of the well-known Portland, Oregon, stationer and bookseller J. K. Gill.
