Description: Copy 333 of a limited, numbered edition of 350. One quarter vellum with paper sides; gilt lettering on spine; printed front cover. Drypoint engravings by Richard Wyndham of towers in France, Italy, Sicily, and Spain, with an introduction by Sacheverell Sitwell. 24 plates plus two vignettes and an engraved title page. Printed by Spottiswoode, Ballantyne & Co. on Zanders hand-made paper, untrimmed. The drypoints were printed by Messrs. A. Alexander & Son. Typography and arrangement are by Frederick Etchells. The copper plates were destroyed after the printing. xii, 101, [5] pages. 30 x 20 cm. Placed in a removable archival wrapper.
Richard Wyndham (1896-1948) was a British painter, printmaker, writer and collector. He studied art under Harold Speed and Wyndham Lewis and had his first solo exhibition in 1933.
