Title: Baby's Book
Author: Ida Scott Taylor
Illustrator: Frances Brundage
Description: Blue cloth boards with decorative gilt stamped front cover. All edges gilt. Partially filled out. [36] pages. Illustrated by Frances Brundage, an artist best known for her depictions of attractive and endearing children. A few pieces of ephemera laid in. Commemorative of Nora Phila Fracker, born February 17, 1907, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the child of George Cutler Fracker and Nora Rebecca Kephart.
Includes a very sweet handwritten letter from her grand-aunt Phila Acenith Cutler Ady (1833-1917), who gave her the baby book. Phila writes about how she suggested Nora'a name at her father's request. [Phila is here called ''Grandma Ady,'' although she was actually a grand-aunt, being the sister of Nora's actual grandmother, Mary Sarah Cutler, who passed away in 1871.]
Also included is a post card ''from'' Nora in Cedar Rapids to Grandma Ady in Denver, postmarked December 1908. Nora's church baptism & confirmation booklet from 1917 (Kansas City, Missouri) is also included.
