Isaac Taylor's work in this volume consists of his notes based on conversations with Egyptian Muslims about politics and religion, his travel observations, investigations of Islamic culture, the British administration, reforms, and the relationship between Christians and Muslims. Isaac Taylor (1829-1901) was an Anglican priest, philologist, author, and Canon of York.
