It presents as a tripartite mythical beast, part lion, part goat, and part snake. It was the centerpiece of an exhibition at the Getty Villa, Los Angeles, from July 16, 2009 to Feb 8, 2010. The book features an 11-page section devoted to the chimaera sculptue itself, but also features illustrations of a variety of other Etruscan, Faliscan, Greek, and Corinthian objects.
