The personal memories and life story of Belle Kandarian. Her narrative tells the story of her family, the move to Fresno when she was a child, life in the Fresno fruit farming community, family hardships, and also relates a few religious/mystical experiences.
Belle (Zabelle Tufenkjian) Kandarian (1890-1976) and her husband were members of the Armenian community of Fresno. Originally from Lynn, Massachusetts, she had lived in Fresno since before the turn of the century, and in 1913 married Paul Kandarian. She had a very creative mind and was known as an inventor and patent holder.
