A very detailed account of trout fishing expeditions on the Brule River (Michigan and Wisconsin) taken by a group of Chicago lawyers with Minominee Indians as guides. The narrative follows the men, heading out from Badwater, and describes their travels, canoeing, staying in cabins, interactions with Indians, eating, reading, warding off insects and, of course, fishing and hunting.
