A dramatic novel set in a Cape Cod village, rolled into motion when an orphan girl's family takes in summer boarders from Boston in order to make ends meet. The unforeseen complications make up the tale in which there is a glimpse of old Boston, its traditions, and a picture of a summer colony at Cape Cod. A delicate, humorous and appealing story.
In 1921 The Harbor Road was adapted for the silent film Danger Ahead, directed by Rollin S. Sturgeon and which starred a very young Mary Philbin, this being her second feature. Now a lost film.
