Greg Boyd is a novelist, poet, and graphic artist who was active in the Santa Barbara area. In 1985 he founded the now-defunct literary journal ''Asylum: The Magazine of Fine Madness'' and published books at the Asylum Arts press in Santa Maria. His archival collection of Asylum Arts and Unicorn Press materials is held at the UC Santa Cruz Library Special Research Collections.
