Julien Capers Hyer (1894-1974), a native of South Carolina and graduate of Georgetown University. After serving in the First World War he was elected to the Texas state senate and for fifteen years was a Dallas County judge. He also served as a judge advocate under General Patton in WWII and participated in the Nuremberg trials.
