An attractive copy of the semi-autobiographical, second novel by the distinguished Canadian poet, Earle Birney (1904-1995). He began teaching at the University of British Columbia in 1946, and where in 1965 he founded and directed the first creative writing program in Canada. Also in 1965, he was appointed as the first writer-in-residence at the University of Toronto.
