Thirty-six color facsimiles (size as in the original) of the paintings comprised in a unique manuscript of Indian fables of the greatest period of Mughal art (British Museum manuscript number ''Additional 18579''). Many of the paintings bear the names of famous masters, both Hindu and Islamic, of the courts of the Emperors Akbar and Jahangir. Preface by the British Museum writer, Laurence Binyon, and a 48-page essay by the specialist in Persian manuscripts and miniature paintings at the British Museum, J. V. S. Wilkinson.
