Ascham was the minister of the Epworth M.E. Church (Toledo, Ohio), 1910-1916, the Avondale M.E. Church (Cincinnati), 1916-1925, then became involved in organizingTurkish-American clubs in Turkey, and served as the Superintendent of the Cincinnati Children's Home, 1928-1943.
