Documents the first six generations of the descendants of the Ackerson/Eckerson family in America, beginning with Thomas Hugesson (1610-1644) and Sara/Sarah Brout (1620-1680), who assumed the name Eckerson. They were married in 1640 at the New York Reformed Dutch Church. Following her husband's death in 1644, Sara married Henry Peers at the same church. There were four children, quadruplets, two of whom survived and married: Sara Eckerson Van Feurden (1644-?) and Jan Thomaszen Eckerson (1644-1706). They were all associated with the New York Reformed Dutch Church.
