Nasution's treatise on guerrilla warfare examines its role in the Indonesian War of Independence and in the following years of power consolidation and the restoration of domestic security, and documents in detail the military decrees made during the war. Abdul Haris Nasution (1918-2000) had been Deputy Commander and then Head of the Indonesian Armed Forces during the war of independence. The volume is divided into three main sections: I. Fundamentals of Guerrilla Warfare; II. The Guerrilla and Our Future War; and III. The Most Important Instructions to Guerrillas (1948-1949).
Actual print date is uncertain, but the author's preface is dated May 1953 and the dust jacket flaps present a timeline of General Nasution's life up through 1960.
