An atlas of 140 full-pages maps showing the distribution patterns of 140 species of butterfly in the state of Washington, including subspecies, which are also shown where more than one occur in the state. The maps are based on over 25,000 twentieth century records, the majority from the period since the Second World War. The volume includes the new species and subspecies discovered since the publication of the author's 1974 work, Watching Washington Butterflies. Multiple checklists are supplied in the appendices. Each dot on the maps is located in the center of a Township square (identified by using the Township/Range overlay supplied in the rear pocket).
