Jerde is widely recognized for their indoor/outdoor multi-level, multi-building complexes, innovative ''place-making,'' and the re-visioning of shopping malls and city centers. Jerde has a portfolio that includes Universal CityWalk, the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, Mall of America, Horton Plaza in San Diego, and the Bellagio hotel complex and Fremont Street Experience in Las Vegas. About a third of Jerde's projects are in Asia, including Canal City Hakata in Fukuoka, Japan. In addition to their Los Angeles headquarters, Jerde today has offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Seoul, and Mexico City.
