Roland Flint (1934-2001) was a professor of English at Georgetown University 1968-1997, and the Poet Laureate of Maryland 1995-2000. William Stafford (1914-1993) was the Poet Laureate of the United Stated 1970-1971, and the Poet Laureate of Oregon 1975-1990.
