Includes both personal and professional medical testimony. Translated from the French of Dr. Gustave Boissarie, the Head of the Lourdes Medical Bureau (Bureau of Medical Authentication) from 1891-1914. It also describes the work of the Authentication Bureau and, in addition, provides a chapters on the adversaries of Lourdes and a rebuttal to Emile Zola and his 1894 novel ''Lourdes,'' in which Dr. Boissarie was unflatteringly portrayed in the character of Dr. Bonamy.
