The report of the United States Reclamation Service, in cooperation with the State of Oregon, on the hydrographic, topographic, soil and river surveys made of the Deschutes River Basin in the period 1913-1914. The project was conducted with the purpose to determine the water power possibilities of some of the most important streams in the state and to evaluate sites of proposed reservoirs and dams, as well as irrigation development. Spots of particular interest are Benham Falls, Big Marsh, Crane Prairie, Crescent Lake, Crooked River, Davis Lake, Odell Lake, Paulina Lakes, Suttle and Blue Lakes, and Wimer Flat. Includes geologic descriptions and climatologic and hydrographic statistics for these areas.
