A genealogy of the Plunkett family, of Irish origin, which settled in the American south, principally in Georgia, South Carolina, as well as Alabama, Florida and Arkansas, but who are also found scattered in other states across the country.
The family line traced begins with Charles Plunkett (c. 1725--c. 1790), son of Captain Peter Plunkett, who sailed from Ireland in about 1732, and settled near Culpeper, Virginia and later at Four Holes, South Carolina.
