Program for the Sixtieth Annual Teachers' Institute of Jefferson County, Pennsylvania. In addition to the program of events, it includes lists of the county's teachers (noting city, school and salary), high school graduates and students who received common school diplomas in the 1917-18 school year, and the students who served in the war, as well as the succession of superintendents going back to 1854. It also includes portraits and a biographical paragraphs for the main speakers, statistics, and several articles on events and issues of education in Jefferson County.
The former President, William Howard Taft, spoke at the Directors' Convention on December 19th, and discussed the ''Great War'' and the problems of both war and peace (World War I had just ended about a month earlier).
