Includes more than sixty chapters that describe the treatment of various diseases and ailments, from asthma to yellow fever, and providing in many cases stories of successful healings. The volume concludes with a section on suggestions for ''selling healing'' to the sick.
Dr. Edward L. Swick (abt 1873-1954) was a longtime practitioner and lecturer on magnetic healing in the Seattle area. In 1912 he was advertising his drugless therapies as offered at the Swick Sanitarium, and in 1916 ads appeared for the Swick Institute of Magnetism and Suggestion. Both were located in Downtown Seattle. He was also the author of several other books, including Subconscious Mind: what it is and how to apply it (1924), The Key to Health (1925), and The Drugless Family Physician: a treatise on overcoming and preventing disease by correct eating (1926).
