Published in 2014 to honor the occasion of the 80th birthday of Ajahn Sumedho (b. 1934), aka Luang Por Sumedho, an American Buddhist monk, monastery founder and abbot, and one of the foremost representatives in the west of the Thai Forest Tradition of Theravada Buddhism. A native of Seattle, he trained with Ajahn Chah in Thailand between 1967 and 1977, and then relocated to England to teach and establish monastic branches.
