An autobiographical memoir by the typewriter repairman Benjamin ''Ben'' Greenberger (1920-2014), who began repairing typewriters in New York City in 1936, and who in his five-decade career established numerous clients in the city, both large and small, and had contracts with major institutions, including Macy's, RCA, and the Federal Reserve Bank.
Greenberger's memoir is presented through a vast collection of anecdotes, giving a unique perspective on the ins-and-outs and the ups-and-downs in the life of a NYC typewriter repairman, and giving account of the many persons he worked both with and for. Greenberger retired in 1985.
