An uncommon copy of this juvenile novel by the acclaimed Oklahoma writer William Meredith Cunningham (1901-1967), co-authored by his wife Sara Brown Cunningham. Earlier in his career, in the 1930s, he had served as state director of Oklahoma's Federal Writers' Project, part of the Works Progress Administration, and then moved to Washington D.C. to serve as the assistant to the national director of the Federal Writers' Project.
