Originally published in 1963, this study was initiated in 1947 at National Taiwan University with additional extensive studies done at the Smithsonian Institution, the Morris Arboretum (University of Pennsylvania), Harvard, New York Botanical Garden, Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, the British Museum, Kyoto University, and Tokyo University.
