From the collection of French and Romance Language specialist Reino Virtanen (1910-1987). Virtanen taught at the University of Nebraska from 1954 to 1978 and was a guest professor at UCLA. He was the author of several books, including "The Scientific Analogies of Paul Valery." He purchased this book while on a research sabbatical in Paris during the summer of 1962.
