Laura Frances Gill (1884-1937) was the author of three books of poetry. She was the daughter of Portland businessman J. K. Gill and was educated at the University of Oregon and the University of California. Prior to her death, she had been a member of the Lincoln High School (Portland, Oregon) English department faculty for nineteen years.
