Rev. Asa Bullard (1804-1888) of Massachusetts was dedicated to the promotion and development of Sunday schools and was instrumental in his fifty-seven years of service to the Massachusetts Sabbath-School Society. Throughout his years he edited and published many books. A native of Northbridge, he was educated at Amherst College and the Andover Theological Seminary and was a longtime member of the Prospect Street Congregational Church in Cambridge (Boston).
