Eugene Feuchtinger (1862-1930) was a German-born voice coach, who immigrated to the United States in 1882 and in 1916 established a voice correspondence course called the Perfect Voice Institute. The course was immediately successful and Feuchtinger could claim students in several major European opera companies. Around 1921, due to ill health, his son, Eugene Jr., began taking over the institute's directorship.
