Aileen Friedman's first book as an author, inspired by her visits to castles on the Rhine.
In this story, two orphan brothers, Hubert and Klaus, live in a castle on a hill. Hubert, twelve years the senior, looks after Klaus in all things. But Klaus has grown tired of being fussed over. To get away he sets off and builds his own big castle, but still can't quite elude the eye of his brother.
